Upcoming Events - Let’s Hang Together (if you could use some mindfulness in action)

Uncategorized Dec 20, 2021

It’s Monday! (Which you probably already knew.) Generally I show up on Tuesdays, but there’s some time sensitive info that I wanted to get to you today. (And just to set the stage, I’m sitting by the fire, while in the background, Bony M is serenading me with their epic Christmas record. An absolute classic.)

Now that you can picture the scene, here’s what I want to share with you this week. I think it’s super important to consciously bring closure to things, such as a whole year of your life. If you just continue to plow forward without ever looking back, you miss out on an opportunity to celebrate who you’ve become. Not only that, without said closure, you may even bring muddy energy forward into the new year. And no one wants muddy energy. Except maybe mud.

Let’s just assume that you love a fresh start, like I do. I’ve got a few things up my sleeve (of which I’m currently wearing 4; 2 on each arm because it’s so cold)  to help you come to completion with 2021 in a way that’s filled with gentleness and kindness towards yourself, rather than regret, judgement or doubt about your decisions.

This time of year is incredibly important energy-wise, so I would love to invite you to consciously harness the goodness that’s available to propel you forward into 2022 so that you have incredible results with less effort; a little something I like to call Peaceful Productivity.

Here are the upcoming events:

Event #1- Tuesday December 21st (The Solstice)

I’ve been invited to be part of a Virtual Spoken Word "Open Mic" Night built around the theme "Out of the Darkness and Into the Light." The event (5-8pm ET) is all about bringing hope and optimism into the new year.

I’ll be sharing an original work, AND even more excitingly, my kids will be participating as well! My son, Oakley, has written a song he’ll be performing on guitar. My daughter, Zoe, is writing a poem to share as well. They’re being so courageous! We’ll be on midway through the second hour.

You can watch the event free through the livestream:

On Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/whatifup

You can head over now to like, follow or subscribe to help you stay in the loop.

It will be a beautiful way to celebrate the Solstice, and bring some inner light to the darkest night of the year. I hope you can join me and my kids there.

Event #2- 2021 Courageous Self-Care Year End Retrospective December 27

Can you really move forward if you haven’t taken some time to consciously look back?

This will be the third year that I’ve done a Year End Review. I can’t imagine not doing it anymore because I’ve discovered that by taking the time to sit down and review the year, you learn so much about yourself and how you showed up during the year.

From there, you set new intentions for the upcoming year, keeping the habits that have clearly worked. Although the last few years have been *interesting, they’ve been the best of my life, and I attribute that to consciously reflecting on the past and looking forward to the future with anticipation and excitement, as we do during this process.

There are all sorts of other reasons to do a Year End Retrospective, and if you’d like to learn more (and have a laugh or perhaps even a guffaw or two), head over to the full description by clicking here

Basically, by doing the Year End Retrospective, you’ll understand that you’re a much more awesome person than you thought and you’ll have all sorts of evidence. If that’s appealing, please consider yourself invited.

Event #3 Conscious New Years Eve Celebration December 31 (in the morning, at least in North America, so you can still celebrate in the evening too)

I used to loathe New Years, because it felt so artificially shiny to me. One can only get so excited about a giant ball reacting to gravity in Times Square.

Then, a few years ago, I got a lot more mindful about December 31st and started doing sacred rituals to complete the energy of the year and set the stage for a fresh start.

That felt a whole lot better and now I love New Years. I’ll be hosting a celebration filled with ritual and mindful processes to help you let go of what you no longer need so that 2022 starts off all fresh and clean.

If that sounds intriguing (or weird) to you and you’d like to find out more, click here. I made a lovely page to (sort of vaguely) explain what we’ll be doing and why it’s wonderful. I like to keep it kind of sacred/secret so it has the element of surprise as well. Also, so you don’t get scared away, but don’t worry, it won’t be that weird. (At least not to me ;)

Oh- if you want to attend both events 2 & 3, there’s a lovely special deal. You can see more about that in the FAQ on the Conscious New Years page towards the bottom.

Event #4 Undetermined dates but definitely starting up in early 2022

After almost a year of work, I’m very close to being certified to teach Body Awake Yoga, which is the most exciting and effective style of yoga I’ve ever experienced. Literally you do yoga and your life gets better and better.

As it gets closer to me being able to offer classes (most likely online), I’ll let you know. I just wanted you to tuck that in your back pocket for now.

And by the way, the fact that I’m going to be a yoga instructor is very surprising to me. Up until recently, I didn’t even like yoga, so it’s a big deal that this is happening. I’ve never experienced anything so transformational. I’ll keep you posted, for sure.

That’s it for now. Bony M is wrapping up.

May you have a most miraculous and spectacular holiday with your loved ones. I’m sending you so much love and only my very best wishes for a beautiful completion of 2021 and a soul-expanding new year.

With mindful love and conscious courage,
