Epic Self-Care Gift List Part 2
Dec 17, 2024Hello and welcome to Part 2 of my epic self-care gift list π
As I mentioned last week, when it comes to gift-giving, my preference is to focus on gifts that won’t gather dust. I don’t just want them to be usable, I want them to be CHANGE YOUR LIFE FOREVER gifts. π¦
Since I’m the enthusiastic type, I have all sorts of recommendations of items and experiences that will indeed change your life forever. These gifts could be for your loved ones or they could even be for you!
Behold πΊπΊπΊ
Part 2 of the Epic Self-Care Gift List That Will Change Your Life Forever
And BTW, the products aren’t affiliate links - just things I adore and/or use myself for a much higher quality of life.
1- For the stuffed up/congested person (and/or the person who wants to manifest more effectively) πͺ
I’ve shared it before and I’ll share it again now: the neti pot. It’s a miraculous little pot. Not only does it resolve any sinus issues, it’s like your cleansing out your throat chakra (which is all about manifesting) and your 3rd Eye Chakra (which is about your visionary capacity and accessing your intuition). Good stuff, right?
There are crazy contraptions out there when it comes to nasal cleansing, but I prefer the simple little ceramic pot. I feel like Aladdin with my little vessel of infinite possibility. Plus, the first breath I take in the morning after doing my neti pot is an exceptional experience. It’s clarity, joy, and freedom all rolled into one.

2- For the over-giving woman who needs to take better care of herself ππΌβοΈ
There’s a lot of information out there about self-care, and in my humble opinion, a lot of it is just marketing to sell things like lotion. Of course, we do need to care for our bodies AND if we ignore what’s happening on the inside, no amount of lotion (or bubble baths or chocolate or facials) will help.
Self-care is an inner game first and I still don’t see a lot of information out there from that perspective. That’s exactly why I wrote Not Your Mama’s Self-Care Guide. It’s a practical (and humorous - sometimes even ludicrous) approach to self-care that works from the inside out.
It’s designed to change your life forever. Plus it has adorable (if somewhat unskillful) drawings I included along the way. I really challenged myself to take my stick figures to the next level.

3- For the sleepy person who needs to wake up more quickly π΄
I love my scalp massager. For many years, it sat in a basket downstairs and I usually forgot about its existence. Then, one magical day, I had the idea to move it up to my bathroom drawer. Lightbulb moment! Now I use it every morning, right after brushing my teeth.
My scalp massager helps me wake up, plus it feels amazing. It’s like a 10-second spa treatment that I get every single day. I highly recommend this inexpensive but joy-giving tool. It might even fit in a stocking.

4- For the person who’s always on the go and needs to pause and gather βΈ
Winter tells us to slow down, rest, recuperate and replenish. So what do we do? We speed up and add all the holiday hoopla to what we were already doing. No wonder so many people get sick at this time of year. It’s not “flu season,” it’s a direct result of going against what nature is telling us to do.
What’s an overwhelmed person to do?
I have a solution! Two, in fact.
One is the Annual Courageous Self-Care Year End Review. The other is a virtual Conscious New Year’s Celebration.
Each of these sessions gives participants the chance to pause and exhale. Through carefully curated questions and rituals, we bring an intentional close to the year so we can honour ourselves, celebrate how we’ve grown and then create the space to move into 2025 with a bland canvas.
Each virtual gathering is $47 and if you’d like to attend/gift both of them, the special price is $67. These are definitely change-your-life-forever gifts because they offer the opportunity to value the sacred and witness your evolution in a fun and uplifting way.

5- For the woman who needs a retreat π
Every time I’ve gone on a retreat, I’ve come back new and improved (better mom, better wife, better daughter, better friend, better coach, etc). That’s because getting out of your everyday life, gathering with like-minded women, and focusing your energies and attention on your inner world while also nourishing your body and mind is unparalleled for personal and spiritual growth.
My decade-long dream of hosting a retreat is coming true (right before your very eyes!) and I’m so excited to be going to Panama this spring with a small group of women. If you’d like to be one of them, this could be the best gift ever (either for yourself, or if you’re asking for the best gift ever from a loved one).
There are just two spots left so if one of them has your name on it, carpe diem!

6- For your gatherings if you want to serve the healthiest (and still tasty) eggnog out there π₯
Here’s a simple gift you can whip up for your holiday gatherings. Being plant-based, I avoid eggs and dairy for the most part, but I still love the flavours of eggnog.
I’m always on the hunt for nutritious upgrades for my favourite foods and drinks and this recipe fits the bill. There are no eggs or milk (or refined sugar) in sight but it’s still creamy, sweet and nourishing. In fact, this eggnog will add to your health rather than detract from it.
The recipe calls for almond milk, but you could also use oatmilk if that’s your preference.
7- For the healthy cook (or the cook who wants to get healthier) π©π³
Whenever I’m not sure what’s for dinner, I pull one of my Oh She Glows cookbooks by Angela Liddon from the shelf and I always find the perfect thing. Every single recipe I’ve made from these books has been delicious and my whole family always enjoys the dishes, too.
I still make some modifications and upgrades (like sauteing in water rather than oil or using lemon juice rather than vinegar) but for the most part, the recipes meet my high nutritional standards while still being delicious.
I have all of the Oh She Glows books and use each one several times every week. You can’t go wrong. Most of Angela’s recipes are also on her blog, which you can check out if you prefer to be online, or you don’t want to commit to a full book just yet.

Well, I could go on with more fantastically epic self-care gift ideas, but that’s probably good for now. I hope you feel inspired with some new ideas and with a renewed desire to take great care of yourself from the inside out.
Sending you so much love for a magnificent holy-day season,
Christina

Here’s a gorgeous song that feels like this time of year (without it being a Christmas song because… not my favourite).
Joe Pass is a fantastic guitarist and his album, Unforgettable, is mellow, soothing and calm - the perfect antidote to the busy-ness I was talking about earlier.
The song My Romance sounds like a dark night with snowglobe snow falling and being all cozy inside. It’s intimate, special, and heart-warming. Search up My Romance by Joe Pass, make yourself a cup of eggnog (recipe linke above β¬οΈ) and enjoy. βοΈ
