Heavenly Helpers at Disney

We just got back from an incredibly fun week at Disneyland. I’ve never screamed so much in my life (in the best way possible). See below for a visual of the screaming.

Part of what made our trip so amazing is that I hired heavenly helpers for many different aspects of the adventure. 

If you’re unfamiliar with heavenly helpers, here’s the synopsis. In the book Hiring the Heavens, I learned that there are celestial beings who are ready and waiting to help you with anything you can dream up - all you have to do is ask.

Once you’ve determined what you could use support with, you hire the appropriate heavenly helper to do the task. I’ll give you some examples of how to do that in a moment. 

What I love about the hiring aspect is that it’s very different from just asking. When you hire someone, you expect the job to be done, so it’s not just putting out a hopeful request; there’s an expectation that goes along with it and - man- is it effective!

Here are three different examples of how I hired the heavens and the astonishing results. 

Heavenly Helper #1 - Communications and Connection Director

My mom treated us to the Disney trip so there were 8 of us in total: me and my kids, my mom, my sister and brother-in-law and my niece and nephew. We ranged from age 7 - 74. As you can imagine, that’s a lot of potential dynamics.

Before we left, I hired a heavenly helper by saying: Heavenly Helper in charge of smooth and effective communication and joyful connection, you’re hired to ensure that we have great interactions on this trip and that we all get along and enjoy each other’s company. Sure enough, we had an amazing time and thoroughly enjoyed being together. On multiple rides, the people next to us commented that they were so happy they got to be in the same car or seat as us because our family had so much fun and made the experience even more enjoyable with our enthusiasm. 

(For example, on the Soarin’ ride where you go on a world tour in a hang gliding type experience, we applauded with joy when we flew by the Eiffel Tower and shrieked with delight while flying over elephants in a grassland.)

That heavenly helper totally delivered so there’s one example of how you benefit from celestial support. 

Heavenly Helper #2 - Finder of Great Uber Drivers

We mostly Ubered it to get from one place to the next and some of our rides were quite long. Our first shuttle driver was great and then the next few were on the dull side. One demanded that I give him a 5-star review (which of course I didn’t do because for 5 stars, I need to be wowed; not bossed around). 

After that less-than-desirable experience, it occurred to me that I could hire a heavenly helper to help find awesome drivers. After that, all of our rides were above and beyond. We met people who gave us the inside scoop on the acting industry (which was so helpful for my daughter Zoe who is considering moving to LA at some point to pursue her acting career). We met a driver who shared about his global travels. We learned about the ups and downs of owning a Tesla. 

We even had a couple of drivers tell us that we were their most favourite customers ever - that’s how great our connection was. I attribute our wonderful experiences to the heavenly helper who supported us in that respect. 

See how this works? Once more example that blew me away.

Heavenly Helper #3 - Radiation Protector

As we were in line to go through security at LAX, I could see that we were going to have to go through the big x-ray-scan type machine and I wasn’t too keen to be exposed to the extra radiation. We had managed to avoid it on our other flights up to that point. 

It occurred to me that I could hire a heavenly helper for that task too. In my head, I said: Heavenly Helper who can help protect me from radiation, you’re hired to ensure that I get exposed to as little radiation as possible. Charge your fee to my Angel Express. Please and thank you. 

I thought that my heavenly helper could create some sort of energetic force field around me while I went through the machine. 

To my great shock, a security person motioned to me and my kids to go through the other more “primitive” type of scanner. We walked through and then he closed it again. Can you believe it? No one else got to go through and there wasn’t a big lineup or anything. The only explanation is that my heavenly helper worked some magic to deliver on my request. Wowzers, right!?!

So there you go. That’s how you get the heavens working for you. I’ve been using heavenly helpers for probably about 2 years and it never ceases to amaze me how helpful they are. I highly recommend getting clear on where you could use some support and then hiring a team.

I hire helpers many times throughout the day and I feel so supported by the divine. It’s just another way to courageously take your self-care to the next level.
