Who Am I and Why Should You Care?

The greatest journey we go on in this life is that of self-discovery; learning who we are and then sharing ourselves fully and courageously with others.

My Story

Hi! I’m Christina Marlett, and I’m a recovering perfectionist turned spiritual ninja/self-care revolutionary. I spent decades collecting gold stars and shiny medals—tap dancing in sequined costumes, editing homework for fun, securing my spot on the honour role, and even winning a highly coveted handwriting award (just kidding; no one cared about it but me).

I did all the right things as a kid, a teen, and then as an adult. But it wasn't sustainable. And I didn't have the energy I expected.

Health issues, emotional outbursts (shoutout to my silent treatment era), and relationship disconnects finally got my attention. I discovered embodiment and—boom!—everything changed. I stopped over-efforting and started practicing courageous self-care. Spoiler alert: my life got better in every possible way.

Now, I help high-achieving, spiritually inclined women like you shift from burnout and overgiving to vibrant energy, peaceful productivity, and deep, juicy alignment. Because self-care isn’t selfish—it’s revolutionary.

Curious (Possibly Embarrassing) Facts That Make Me More Human

  • My daughter stars in a Netflix zombie series and a growing list of horror movies. I enthusiastically support her career while gently ignoring the gore.

  • Not to be outdone by his sister, my son released an album of original music at 14. We're a creative family.

  • My soulmate and I have been married for 27 years. We’re like evolving puzzle pieces—that continue to fit.

  • I’ve eaten fire, walked on fire, and been hypnotized into not fearing fire… but I still don't excel at lighting matches.

  • I’ve been a tap dancer mistaken for a boy (because I had “so much energy”) and a rodeo security guard (because apparently intimidation wasn't a job requirement).

  • My kids were born on Mother’s Day and Father’s Day. My husband insists we belong in the Guinness Book.

  • I’ve got two degrees, but I learned way more about transformation barefoot in a lavender field in California.

  • Ugly Awkward Dancing changed my life—and inspired a book. (And then my website blacklisted by Google. Not kidding. Someone really didn't like ugly awkward dancing...)

  • I speak French. Fluently. (Voulez-vous… du beurre?)

  • Grilled cheese on sourdough with apple butter or honey is basically a spiritual experience but also - health - so I limit myself to one/quarter.

  • I’ve won three trips to Hawaii. It’s a vibe.

  • Transformation is my superpower, and spirituality is my love language.

Founder of Courageous Self-Care · Embodiment Enthusiast · Recovering Perfectionist

I help high-achieving, spiritually inclined women go from burnout and overgiving to radiant energy, peaceful productivity, and deep alignment—without guilt or overwhelm.

For years, I did all the right things—yoga, affirmations, people-pleasing, even winning a handwriting award (true story). But behind the gold stars was a tired, stressed-out woman who didn’t know how to speak up for herself or make space for her own needs.

Everything changed when I discovered the power of embodiment. Now, I teach women how to unlock their life force, reconnect with their truth, and actually live the self-care we all talk about.

If you're ready to stop pushing and start flowing, you're in exactly the right place.
