Effective Self-Care is strategic and transformational
You are whole and complete and the best self-care allows you to open up and receive more of your wholeness.
When I dare to be powerful, to use my strength in the service of my vision, then it becomes less and less important whether I am afraid.
-Audre Lorde
Sound familiar?
→You absolutely love learning (hello, personal growth keener status unlocked)… but when it comes to actually implementing, things tend to slip through the cracks. (Maybe just one more course will do the trick?)
→You spend a lot of time doing things for everyone else—and if you're being honest, you barely make it onto your own to-do list.
→You’re a devoted student of life—meditating, visualizing, gratitue-ing, affirming—doing all the “right” things. But there’s this quietly annoyed voice inside whispering, “Shouldn’t this be working better by now?”
→You (occasionally… okay, daily) feel overwhelmed by how much you’ve crammed into your day—and you’re starting to wonder if maybe (just maybe) your expectations for yourself are a tad unrealistic.
→You’ve got big dreams and an even bigger heart—you know you’re meant to make a profound impact—but the truth is, you’re running on fumes, inching dangerously close to burnout.
→And sometimes, in the middle of the chaos, you ask yourself…
“Why do I keep doing this to myself?”
Who This Is For (And Why You’ll Love It Here)
If you’re a (recovering) perfectionist, high-achiever, or self-described Energizer Bunny (whose ears have been a little droopy lately)...
If you’re a master multitasker with 10+ irons in the fire and a brain that just. won't. stop....
If your default setting is “do more, be better, go faster”—but your soul is whispering, “There must be a gentler way…”
Then welcome—you’re in exactly the right place.
At Courageous Self-Care, We Do Things a Little (Okay, a Lot) Differently
We’re not about hustling harder or piling more onto your plate.
✨ We’re about implementation through inspired action—not busywork that just looks good on paper.
✨ We’re about turning big spiritual ideals into doable, tangible practices that actually fit into real life (yes, even your full one).
✨ We’re about fun, playfulness, and a touch of magic—because transformation doesn’t have to be heavy.
✨ And we’re definitely not about sitting all the time. Around here, we get up and move—because embodiment is the fastest path to lasting change (and good vibes only go so far if you’re slouched at your desk all day 😉).

"Working with Christina has been gloriously liberating. She has helped me connect with my soul. Christina is an amazing coach. She breaks things down in such a way that even those with no prior background can learn and flourish." Stacie W.
"Christina guided us through her retreat with unconditional love. This weekend was the best investment I have made in myself. It has been a long time since I did this. When I first arrived, I had a lot of questions in my mind and was unclear about the path I was on. Now at the end, I feel quiet, nourished, assured, rested, informed and at peace." Helena P.
"Christina helped me reconnect to my body. I have learned tools that I can take with me for the future; always reminding me to stay in the present and listen. Christina helped me open my heart and allowed me to express vulnerability and my true self without judgment." Donna A.

Who Am I and Why Should You Care?
Hi! I’m Christina Marlett, and I’m a recovering perfectionist turned spiritual ninja/self-care revolutionary. I spent decades collecting gold stars and shiny medals—tap dancing in spotless white dresses, editing homework for fun, and winning a handwriting award (which I proudly accepted in cursive, naturally).
I did all the right things. Then I burned out.
Spoiler Alert
Health issues, emotional outbursts (shoutout to my silent treatment era), and relationship disconnects finally got my attention. I discovered embodiment and—boom!—everything changed. I stopped over-efforting and started practicing courageous self-care.
Spoiler alert: my life got better in every possible way.
Now I help high-achieving, spiritually inclined women like you shift from burnout and overgiving to vibrant energy, peaceful productivity, and deep, juicy alignment. Because self-care isn’t selfish—it’s revolutionary.
Fun (and maybe embarrassing) Facts
-
I once won the "highly-coveted" Laura Brett Handwriting Award. It came with a silver dollar. Apparently, it could now be worth up to $100 but I donated it in a purge. Oh well. At least I still have my handwriting.
-
My daughter stars in a Netflix zombie series and several horror movies. I enthusiastically support her career while gently ignoring the gore.
-
Not to be outdone by his sister, my son released his first album of original songs at age 14. (It's so good!)
-
My soulmate and I have been married for 27 years. We’re like evolving puzzle pieces that continue to fit.
I’ve eaten fire, walked on fire, and been hypnotized into not fearing fire (but I struggle to light a match)
-
I’ve been a tap dancer mistaken for a boy (because I had “so much energy”) and a rodeo security guard (because apparently no intimidation was required).
-
My kids were born on Mother’s Day and Father’s Day. My husband insists we belong in the Guinness Book.
-
I’ve got two degrees, but I learned way more about transformation in a lavender field in California.
-
Ugly Awkward Dancing changed my life—and inspired a book. (And somehow, soon thereafter, my website blacklisted by Google. Coincidence? We'll never know.)
-
I speak French fluently. (Voulez-vous… du beurre?)
-
Grilled cheese on sourdough with apple butter and/or honey is basically a spiritual experience but I limit myself to one/quarter.
-
I’ve won three trips to Hawaii. It’s a vibe.
-
Transformation is my superpower, and esoteric teachings are my love language.
What I Believe
Unifying mind, body, and breath is the key to your spiritual expansion.
You don’t need more information—you need embodiment.
Doing less can actually get you more of what you want.
It’s possible to be wildly ambitious and still wildly well.
The world doesn’t need more martyrs. It needs women who are lit from within.
